Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago has assured that Indonesia’s domestic situation remains stable, following the circulation of fabricated videos claiming that mass demonstrations were set to take place later this month.

“The domestic situation is very, very stable,” he said during a press conference at the Ministry’s office in Jakarta on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

“All developments remain under our control,” he added.

Djamari emphasized that the government would continue to monitor the situation and coordinate with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police, and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) to maintain security and stability.

He was accompanied at the press conference by TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, BIN Head Muhammad Herindra, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.
