Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto has shown courage and rigor in navigating the harrowing challenges faced by Indonesia.
His attitude has inspired praise from the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (DPP KNPI), who has called for national consolidation, in a bout to spark support for President Prabowo Subianto’s government.
“This step was borne from the belief that the Prabowo government has shown courage and rigor in facing various problems that have been a burden to the nation," said KNPI DPP General Chair, Haris Pertama, in a written statement from Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
Haris believes that a number of policies instated under the Prabowo government has shown a strong determination and commitment to “clean up” the “dirty” practices that have been detrimental to the Indonesian state and society. KNPI, said Haris, will act to mobilize youth organizations (OKP) and student bodies in support of President Prabowo's government.
“(The KNPI will act) as a form of support for President Prabowo's government. We acknowledge (his) courage and rigor in facing the various issues that have hampered the nation's progress," said Haris.
Haris emphasized that his support was based on the necessity for a willful leader who will take action against the suspected corruptors and grafters that have exploited the Indonesian society.
“When President Prabowo has shown the courage to bring order and fight them, the youth must not stand in silence. We must support (his) efforts to save the interests of the people," said Haris.
He added that KNPI’s campaign is no mere political action, but rather a form of youth participation in overseeing the nation's improvement. According to Haris, the youth hold a moral responsibility to ensure that every policy in favor of the people receives abundant support and attention.
“This is the time for young people to unite. We want to show that the youth stands with the agenda to eradicate the mafia, cartels, and all else that are detrimental to the nation. Indonesia needs courage, and that courage is being displayed by President Prabowo," expressed Haris.
