Jakarta: Organizers of the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026 are preparing for the commencement of Jakarta's 499th anniversary celebration, which will include a fireworks display.
“The commencement of Jakarta's anniversary will be held on the evening of the 21st, entitled the Night of the Youth," said Oki Setiawan, General Manager of Operations at PT JIEXPO, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
Oki proclaimed that there would be a “very exciting theatrical fireworks display” to celebrate Jakarta's anniversary. He ensured that the fireworks display would prove to be more jovial than last year’s.
"This year's fireworks will be much more special, livelier, with more eye-capturing and extravagant displays," said Oki.
Oki added that his team are also preparing for a special lifestyle area through creative shopping zones. This includes the noteworthy transformation of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Central Commerce Building (GPN) into the Central Fashion area.
The transformations aim to boost shopping enthusiasm whilst remaining budget friendly. Visitors can browse a variety of the latest fashion collections at fantastic discounts.
"This year, we will be located mainly across the 2nd to 3rd floors the Central Commerce Building, with discounts reaching upwards of 90 percent," said Oki.
