Jakarta: A fire broke out in East Cengkareng, West Jakarta, early Tuesday morning, July 14, 2026.
Head of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency, Syaiful Kahfi, said the fire was believed to have started after flames from burning trash spread to a nearby scrapyard.
Authorities were notified of the blaze at 4:48 a.m. WIB and arrived at the scene shortly thereafter.
10 fire trucks and 50 personnel were deployed to the site. The fire was successfully extinguished at 6:32 a.m. WIB.
No casualties were reported.
