Jakarta: SEFAS Group has agreed to acquire 100 percent the business of Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) Shell in Indonesia. SEFAS Group remains to follow the regulator’s approval and other general requirements.
“As the biggest distributor for Shell lubricant in Indonesia, SEFAS is proud to take the next business step, and support future growth of Indonesia’s energy retail sector,” said the CEO of SEFAS Group Ricky Roesli in his statement in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, August 20, 2026.
According to him, SEFAS Group will continue the process of full ownership acquisition in that business, with the completion of the transaction, which is expected to take place this year. Ricky said the customers will still see the brand of Shell Indonesia through the scheme of brand license, with the continuity of service of customers, staff, and partners.

Our ambition is to establish one of the most trusted and sustainable energy retail businesses in Indonesia, as well as supporting the growth of the country's economy and the energy needs which continue to be developed,” he said.
While, the President Director of Shell Indonesia Anari Pratiwa explained SEFAS is a partner that has collaborated with Shell Indonesia for a long time and has a deep understanding regarding the local market.
