Jakarta: The Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung stated that the economic impact of the Jakarta Running Festival (JRF) and Kanye West’s concert “Ye Live in Jakarta” on Jakarta has reached around Rp625 billion.
The figure comes from the estimated economic impact of JRF, amounting to Rp175 billion, and Ye’s concert, amounting to around Rp450 billion.
“The economic impact of the Jakarta Running Festival has been calculated by officials under the coordination of the Assistant for Finance of the Jakarta Provincial Government, amounting to Rp175 billion,” Pramono said during the inauguration of Taman Sari Community Health Center in West Jakarta on Monday, October 26, 2026.
In addition, Pramono stated that the air quality during the two-day Jakarta Running Festival was quite comfortable.
“What made it encouraging was that the air quality remained quite comfortable throughout the two-day Jakarta Running Festival,” Pramono said.
Moreover, the economic impact of Ye’s concert was estimated to reach Rp450 billion. Pramono said the numbers not only came from ticket sales but also from economic activities before and after the concert.
“Ticket sales alone reached Rp328 billion. The concert itself had a greater impact, as economic activities took place both before and after the event. Even yesterday, many people were still staying in Jakarta, bringing the figure to around Rp450 billion,” Pramono said.
With these estimates, the total economic impact of both events reached around Rp625 billion. Pramono said the figure could be even higher, as not all economic activities could be accounted for.
“However, the figures were estimated based on several factors related to hotel stays, shopping at malls, and other economic activities resulting from these events,” Pramono said.
